The heart ribbing stitch pattern is so pretty! It looks like stacked hearts on a reverse stockinette background. This is the perfect stitch pattern for adding a bit of femininity to a garment.
You could use it anywhere you would have used a regular ribbing, or you could make a whole sweater or blanket with this stitch. Your imagination is the only limit here π

Heart ribbing knitting stitch pattern
This stitch pattern is built on a 3+2 ribbing stitch and it actually looks a lot harder than it is!

This pattern is knitted flat
Cast on in multiples of 5+2
Foundation: Knit 3+2 ribbing for 4 rows
Row 1: P2 *K3, P2, * repeat *β* until the end of the row
Row 2: K2 *P3, K2* repeat *β* until the end of the row
Repeat rows 1 and 2 once more (this is your 4 rows of 3+2 ribbing)
Row 1: P2, *pull up a loop through the knit stitch in the middle, four rows down, K3, pull up a loop through the same stitch once more, P2* repeat *β* until the end of the row
Row 2: K2 *slip the loop wot yarn in front, purl three, slip the loop with yarn in front, K2* repeat *β* until the end of the row
Row 3: P2 *slip the loop with the yarn in back, K1, pass the slipped loop over, K1, knit the next stitch together with the loop, P2* repeat *β* until the end of the row
Row 4: K2 *P3, K2* repeat *β* until the end of the row
Keep repeating pattern rows 1 to 4.
